HOW TO GUIDE: HOW TO CREATE AN IP-LOGIN

This page will provide step-by-step instructions on how to add/setup an IP-login within the Blyott Platform

Introduction

This guide provides detailed, step-by-step instructions on setting up your IP login, offering you seamless access to your account without the need for repeated logins. Please note, only administrators have the authority to create new users and therefore IP logins. If your tenant lacks the IP login capabilities, please reach out to our helpdesk to have this feature enabled.

1. Account Creation

• Select the “Users” tab from the left-side panel (take note that different screen sizes change the panel’s layout; on smaller screens, the panel will be on the right side because of the responsiveness of the webpage - RWD).

• Select the "+ Add User" icon from the top left corner of the screen and fill in all data fields.

2. IP Address Configuration:

2.1 Enable IP Login

Upon IP Login is enabled, you'll be required to input the precise IP address for the intended user. It's crucial to enter this data correctly. Should you be unsure of your IP address, websites such as https://whatismyipaddress.com offer an easy way to identify your accurate IP address. 

Important Note: This feature is compatible exclusively with one or more external IP addresses; it does not support internal IP addresses. An external IP address, for instance, is typically the IP address assigned to a firewall or router that connects to the Internet (WAN). Conversely, an internal IP address, often appearing in the format of 10.0.0.X, is assigned by a local DHCP server within a local area network (LAN).

2.2 Save Changes:

• • Ensure that you save your changes. Once saved successfully, an IP Login link will be generated. By clicking on this link, you will be provided with a URL and a QR code specific to your account.

Using the URL and QR Code:

• • These tools are designed for quick and easy login into the portal. The URL can be used for direct access on your desktop, while the QR code offers a convenient scan-and-enter option.
