      BLYOTT RELEASE NOTES 2025

      This document provides a monthly update on all the latest developments and enhancements in the Blyott platform.

      January 2025

        • Workflow Email Body Template with Parameters – Create custom email body templates using dynamic workflow parameters for more personalized notifications.

      • New Authentication Method: Custom / None – Workflows now support a Custom or None authentication option, making it easier to connect with tools like Power Automate.
      • Insight Dashboard – Sensor Readings – View recent temperature, humidity, or movement readings per asset to monitor trends and detect anomalies.

         

      February 2025

      Workflow Enhancements

      • Execution Timing Field – Define precisely when a workflow should trigger, improving time-sensitive automation.

      • MQTT Topic Field with Autocomplete – Parameter-based autocomplete simplifies configuration and reduces errors.

      • Extended Workflow Template Parameters – Richer data integration and more flexible notifications.

      March 2025

      UI & Security Updates

      • Renamed Temperature Threshold Labels – “Above” and “Below” replaced with clearer “Exact Temperature” wording.

      • Sensitive Field Redesign – More secure input and display for fields containing secrets (e.g., API keys or tokens).

      • New “Additional Info” Tab in Locator Details – BT-L1 and BT-M1 locators now display extra diagnostic response data.



      APRIL 2025

      • Asset Manuals Feature
        A new feature has been introduced that allows users to upload and manage asset-specific manuals directly from the platform. This enables quick access to important documentation right from the asset profile.

      • Updated Test Workflow Flow
        The test workflow experience has been streamlined, allowing users to validate workflow triggers and actions more intuitively before activation.
      • Alert Workflows Refactor & Performance Improvements
        The backend handling of alert workflows has been refactored to improve processing speed and reliability, ensuring timely and consistent notifications across use cases.

      May 2025

      • Asset Manuals

        • Grid shows linked asset types and allows opening manuals in a new tab.

        • New details page listing all linked asset types with quick filtering.

        • Edit flow to rename manuals and update linked asset types.

      June 2025

      • API bug (SHP-2996) resolved so workflow asset categories correctly update.

      Major Tenant Settings

      • Settings page introduced for total-access admins.

        • Theme color picker (custom or preset colors applied portal-wide).

        • Logo upload to replace the default Blyott logo.

        • Tenant-wide time-zone selection applied to all dates.

      SMTP Adjustments

      • Internal SMTP providers now generate From Email automatically (SHP-3039).

      • Fixed dropdown visibility bug for internal SMTP providers (SHP-3040).

      • Minor cosmetic improvements.

      Rolling Improvements

      • Spanish translation implemented.

      • Licenses list added under Settings.

      • Theme-color and drag-and-drop logo-upload fixes.

      • Super-admin impersonation flow improved.

      • Manuals: distinct asset-type lists for consistent application.

      • Edit-workflow form include-payload issue fixed.

      • Locator proxy access-token field added.

      July 2025

      • New Workflows

        • Absent from location workflow added.

      Sends an alert if an asset has not been seen for X amount of time at a specific location.

      Ideal for tracking assets that require regular checkups and for identifying equipment that hasn’t yet visited required locations.

      • Custom SMTP Provider

        • Admins can create and select custom SMTP providers in a single dropdown for workflows and reports.

      • Workflow Templates

        • New body-template parameters for current and previous department.

      • Other Fixes

        • Improved SSO-user cleanup after deletion.

        • Resolved Microsoft Edge caching issue that blocked Insight caching.

      August 2025

      New Features

      • Link Tag to a User – Tags can now be directly linked to a specific user, improving traceability and user–asset associations.

      • New User Role: API User – A dedicated role for system-to-system integrations, allowing secure API access without full user privileges. 

      Enhancements

      • Loading Indicator for Asset History – A spinner now appears when loading asset history on the details page, giving clear feedback during data fetches.

      Fixes & Polishing

      • Multiple bug fixes and UI improvements to enhance stability and overall user experience.
